Predator Drilling is looking for an experienced, safety-focused, and dependable Driller to lead day-to-day drilling operations and ensure the rig and crew operate safely, efficiently, and productively.
The Driller is a key leadership position on the rig and is responsible for operating and monitoring the drilling equipment, directing the crew during drilling operations, maintaining well control awareness, and ensuring all work is completed in accordance with company procedures, regulatory requirements, and safety standards.
We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, leads by example, communicates effectively, and understands the importance of safety, teamwork, equipment reliability, and operational performance.
What We're Looking For
Strong knowledge of drilling rig operations, equipment, and drilling procedures.
Proven ability to lead and direct a rig crew effectively.
Strong understanding of drilling parameters, well conditions, and safe operating practices.
Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to recognize and troubleshoot equipment issues.
Excellent communication, leadership, and decision-making skills.
Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions in changing or high-pressure situations.
Strong commitment to workplace safety and environmental responsibility.
Ability to work independently while contributing to a close-knit team.
Physically capable of working in a demanding, fast-paced, and safety-sensitive environment.
Valid driver's license.
Current safety certifications such as H2S, First Aid/CPR, and Confined Space, ABSA Boiler Operator, Fall Protection, First or Second Line

As a Driller, you are expected to lead by example and set the standard for safe and professional operations. You are responsible for ensuring the crew understands and follows safe work practices, hazard assessments, job safety analyses, lockout/tagout procedures, permit requirements, environmental procedures, and emergency response protocols.
