Predator Drilling is looking for a reliable, safety-focused, and mechanically minded Motorhand to join our drilling operations.

The Motorhand plays a critical role in keeping the rig operating safely and efficiently. Working closely with the Driller, Rig Manager, Derrickhand, and other crew members, the Motorhand is responsible for monitoring, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing the rig's engines, generators, pumps, and other mechanical systems.

We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, pays attention to detail, is mechanically capable, and understands the importance of equipment reliability and preventative maintenance.

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience working as a Motorhand on an oilfield drilling rig.

• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.

• Knowledge of diesel engines, generators, pumps, hydraulics, and drilling rig equipment.

• Experience with preventative maintenance and equipment inspections.

• Ability to identify equipment issues and take appropriate action before they result in significant downtime.

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a close-knit crew.

• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

• Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.

• Ability to work in a physically demanding, fast-paced, and safety-sensitive environment.

• Strong commitment to workplace safety and environmental responsibility.

• Valid driver's licence.

• Current safety certifications such as H2S, First Aid/CPR, and Confined Space are considered an asset.

This includes following job safety analyses, hazard assessments, lockout/tagout procedures, permit requirements, spill prevention practices, environmental procedures, and emergency response protocols.

You are expected to identify hazards and equipment concerns, communicate them promptly, and take action to help prevent equipment failures, injuries, and environmental incidents.
