Predator Drilling is looking for an experienced, safety-focused, and knowledgeable Coring Supervisor to lead coring operations and ensure drilling activities are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest operational standards.

The Coring Supervisor is responsible for providing leadership and direction to the drilling crew during coring operations, overseeing core recovery and handling procedures, monitoring drilling performance, and ensuring equipment, personnel, and operations are properly managed.

We are looking for someone with hands-on drilling experience in coring, strong leadership skills, and a proven commitment to safe and efficient drilling operations.

Coring experience is required. A valid Well Control ticket is mandatory for this position.

What You'll Do

• Supervise and lead day-to-day coring and drilling operations.

• Provide clear direction and leadership to the coring crew.

• Ensure coring operations are conducted safely, efficiently, and in accordance with the drilling program and company procedures.

• Operate and oversee drilling and coring equipment as required.

• Monitor core recovery and ensure proper core handling, preservation, orientation, labeling, and documentation procedures are followed.

• Ensure core is handled carefully to maintain its integrity and quality for geological evaluation.

• Coordinate core retrieval, handling, storage, and transportation procedures.

• Monitor the condition and performance of drilling and coring equipment.

• Coordinate preventative maintenance and report equipment issues promptly.

• Ensure drilling tools, core barrels, wireline equipment, pumps, and associated equipment are properly maintained and ready for operation.

• Assist with troubleshooting mechanical, hydraulic, and drilling equipment issues.

• Monitor drilling fluid properties and circulation to support safe and effective coring operations.

• Maintain awareness of well conditions and respond appropriately to changing or abnormal conditions.

• Apply proper well control practices and procedures at all times.

• Complete daily drilling reports, core recovery records, equipment logs, inspections, and other required documentation accurately.

• Coordinate with geologists, engineers, clients, and other field personnel as required.

• Follow all company, regulatory, environmental, and occupational health and safety requirements.

What We're Looking For

Required

• Previous drilling experience with coring operations — REQUIRED.

• Valid Well Control certification/ticket — REQUIRED.

• Previous experience supervising or leading a drilling/coring crew.

• Strong knowledge of drilling and coring operations, equipment, and procedures.

• Hands-on experience with core barrels, wireline systems, drilling tools, and associated coring equipment.

• Strong understanding of core recovery, core handling, and core preservation procedures.

• Strong understanding of well control principles and safe drilling practices.

• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.

• Ability to monitor drilling conditions and make sound operational decisions.

• Strong leadership and communication skills.

• Ability to work effectively with drilling crews, management, clients, geologists, engineers, and contractors.

• Strong commitment to workplace safety and environmental responsibility.

• Ability to work independently while maintaining strong communication with the broader operations team.

• Ability to work in a physically demanding, fast-paced, and safety-sensitive environment.

• Valid driver's licence.
