Predator Drilling is looking for a reliable, hardworking, and safety-focused Leasehand to join our drilling operations.
The Leasehand is an important member of the rig crew and is responsible for supporting the overall cleanliness, organization, maintenance, and safe operation of the rig site. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build their oilfield experience, develop their skills, and grow within a drilling crew.

What You'll Do
Assist the rig crew with daily drilling and lease operations.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe rig site.
Perform general housekeeping around the rig, camp, pipe deck, equipment areas, and lease.
Assist Floorhands, Derrickhands, Motorhands, and the Driller as directed.
Assist with rig-up, rig-down, rig moves, equipment installation, shutdowns, and startups.
Load, unload, move, organize, and secure tools, equipment, pipe, materials, and supplies.
Assist with handling drill pipe, casing, tubing, tools, and other rig equipment as required.
Assist with cleaning, lubrication, fueling, and basic preventative maintenance activities.
Inspect work areas and equipment and promptly report leaks, damage, defects, or unsafe conditions.
Assist with spill prevention, containment, cleanup, and environmental protection procedures.
Maintain and organize tools, hoses, cables, materials, and other equipment.
Assist with waste management and ensure garbage, debris, and materials are properly handled and disposed of.
Help maintain walkways, work areas, stairs, platforms, and access points in a clean and safe condition.
Assist with winter operations, including snow removal and maintaining safe access around the rig.
Use hand tools, power tools, lifting equipment, and PPE correctly and safely.
Participate in pre-tour meetings, toolbox talks, safety meetings, and job safety analyses.
Follow directions from the Driller, Derrickhand, Motorhand, and Rig Manager.
Communicate effectively with all members of the rig crew.
Assist with emergency response activities as required.
Perform other general rig and lease duties as assigned.
Follow all company, regulatory, environmental, and occupational health and safety requirements.
What We're Looking For
Previous oilfield or drilling rig experience is an asset, but not required.
Strong work ethic and reliable attendance.
Willingness to learn and take direction.
Positive attitude and ability to work as part of a team.
Strong commitment to workplace safety.
Good communication skills.
Ability to work outdoors in changing weather conditions.
Physically capable of lifting, climbing, bending, standing, and performing repetitive tasks.
Ability to work safely in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment.
Mechanical aptitude is considered an asset.
Valid driver's licence.
Current safety certifications such as H2S, First Aid/CPR, and Confined Space are considered an asset.

This includes following hazard assessments, job safety analyses, housekeeping standards, lifting procedures, lockout/tagout requirements, environmental procedures, spill prevention practices, and emergency response protocols.
You are expected to stay aware of your surroundings, communicate hazards promptly, and look out for the safety of your fellow crew members.
