Predator Drilling is looking for an experienced, safety-driven, and strong people leader to join our team as a Rig Manager.
The Rig Manager is responsible for the overall safe, efficient, and successful operation of the drilling rig and crew. This position provides leadership and direction to all rig personnel while ensuring drilling operations, equipment, maintenance, safety, environmental practices, and company standards are consistently maintained.
We are looking for a Rig Manager who leads by example, communicates clearly, takes ownership, and knows how to build a strong and accountable crew.
What We're Looking For
Previous experience as a Rig Manager or significant experience in progressive drilling rig positions.
Strong knowledge of drilling rig operations, equipment, and procedures.
Proven leadership experience in managing and developing rig crews.
Strong understanding of drilling operations, well control, equipment maintenance, and safe work practices.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational, planning, and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to make sound decisions in changing and high-pressure operating environments.
Strong understanding of occupational health and safety and regulatory requirements.
Ability to effectively manage competing operational, safety, maintenance, and personnel priorities.
Strong computer and documentation skills.
Reliable, professional, and accountable.
Ability to build positive working relationships with employees, management, clients, and contractors.
Valid driver's license.
Current safety certifications valid - H2S, First Aid, Confined Space, ABSA Boiler Operator, Fall Protection, Second Line Supervisor Well Control or equivalent

As Rig Manager, you are responsible for setting the standard for the entire rig. You are expected to lead by example, promote a strong safety culture, and ensure every member of the crew understands that safety is a shared responsibility.
You will be expected to actively identify and address hazards, ensure appropriate controls are in place, and maintain compliance with job safety analyses, hazard assessments, lockout/tagout procedures, permit requirements, environmental practices, emergency response procedures, and all applicable company and regulatory standards.
